Week of October 3

It is hard to believe it is already October!

There are a few special events this week:

Tuesday, October 4:  Thanksgiving Mass at 10:00 am
Wednesday, October 5:  our first virtue assembly for Community
Thursday, October 6:  QSP Parent Council fundraiser introduction for students
Friday, October 7:  PD Day - no school for students
Monday, October 10;  Thanksgiving - school is closed

Curriculum Notes

In literacy, we will be focusing on Thanksgiving stories. Our word wall words for this week are:

     can

In math, we will be starting sorting activities as part of the data management unit.

In science, we will be talking about the seasons and the changes we see with the start of autumn.

In health, we have started learning about the four food groups and are choosing healthy morning snacks to start out day.
